Hoshiarpur: Lok Sabha member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal inspected the construction work of Parsawal-Bassi Kalan-Chak Sadhu to Bheduan road and said that this 18 feet wide road being constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.50 crore will provide great convenience to the people in commuting once the construction work is completed.

While reviewing the road construction work along with Chabbewal MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar and local dignitaries, Lok Sabha member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that the construction work of this 6 km long road is going on at war footing and will be completed soon. He said that efforts are being made to strengthen the roads in view of the traffic situation in Chabbewal constituency and as per the current demand, most of the roads are being widened to 18 feet, which will greatly benefit the commuters.
After interacting with the residents of the villages present on the spot, he reviewed the development works going on in the area and said that the establishment of essential facilities is being ensured in every area. Talking about the ongoing works related to road traffic in the constituency, Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that the work of construction and widening of Chabbewal-Bajarwad-Patti-Sasoli to Seena link road will also be completed soon at a cost of Rs. 4 crore and with this road being 18 feet wide, traffic of many villages will become easy and convenient.
MP Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that similarly, 13.06 km road from Hoshiarpur-Phagwara Road to Purhiran-Atalgarh-Mahimowal-Falahi Harmoya via Tajowal Hukkaran is being widened and strengthened at a cost of Rs. 5.10 crore. Apart from this, the 3.72 km road from Mahilpur to Jhanjowal via Kaharpur is to be widened from 10 feet to 18 feet at a cost of about Rs 2.31 crore, on which the work of laying stones has been completed.
He said that this project will also be completed by starting the work of laying the road soon. Similarly, the Mahilpur-Jejon Road-Rampur to Fatehpur-Kangar Kothi-Gangowal road is also to be widened from 10 feet to 18 feet. He said that this 6.47 km long road will be constructed at a cost of about Rs 4.23 crore.
On this occasion, MLA Dr. Ishan Kumar while talking said that as per the demand of the time, most of the roads connecting the villages of the constituency to the main roads are being increased from the existing 10 feet width to 18 feet so that people can get the facility of smooth traffic.
