Jammu and Kashmir: Four killed in road accident

Ganderbal: Four people were killed and 17 others injured in a collision between a bus and a passenger vehicle in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have expressed grief over the incident. Officials said that the accident took place on the Srinagar-Sonamarg road in Ganderbal district.

Both the vehicles were badly damaged in the accident that took place in Gund. Officials said that the injured are undergoing treatment. The deceased have been identified as Lesia Ashish, Nikki Ashish and Hetal Ashish, all residents of Maharashtra, and the local driver Faheem Ahmed. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said in his condolence message, “I am deeply saddened to hear the news of the deaths in the road accident that took place in Ganderbal today.”
He said, “In this hour of grief, I express my condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.” Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed grief over the incident and said that the concerned authorities are providing all possible help to the injured.
