'War against drugs' has become a sham, people are distressed and mafia is happy under Aam Aadmi Party rule: Tarun Chugh

Ludhiana 14 June 2025- National General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party Tarun Chugh today launched a scathing attack on Aam Aadmi Party while campaigning in support of BJP candidate Jeevan Gupta in Ludhiana West Assembly by-election and said that the Punjab government has put the entire government machinery into campaigning due to fear of defeat.

Chugh said, "Ministers, MLAs and the entire government staff of Punjab have been put into election campaigning in every street and corner of Ludhiana. This is the politics of fear, which clearly shows that Aam Aadmi Party is afraid of the anger of the people."
He described Ludhiana as the economic capital of Punjab and said that the condition of traders is bad, but the deaf government did not take any care of them in the last three and a half years. “In the last 6 months, more than 19 grenade and blast incidents have taken place in Punjab, but the government has remained a mute spectator. The law and order situation has worsened.”
Chugh called the Aam Aadmi Party's 'Yuddh Nashe Ke Viruddh' campaign against drugs a sham. He said, “No big kingpin has been caught in this campaign so far. Only small smugglers are being caught and photographed in the media. The real mafia - be it the liquor mafia or the cable mafia - is flourishing under the Aam Aadmi Party government, while the common people are suffering.”
Chugh claimed that the people of Ludhiana have now decided that they will neither vote for the Aam Aadmi Party nor the Congress. This time the lotus flower will bloom, the BJP will win.
