
Himachal government should take action against those misbehaving with Sikh pilgrims: Paramjit Singh Kahlon.
SAS Nagar, March 19: Shiromani Akali Dal Vice President Mr Paramjit Singh Kahlon has demanded that the government should take legal action against those misbehaving with Sikh pilgrims. In a statement issued here, Mr Kahlon has said that some people in Himachal Pradesh who hate Sikhs are misbehaving with Sikh pilgrims and tearing the flags on their vehicles and crushing them. He said that in this matter, Himachal Police has played a very neutral role and even after being present on the spot, instead of stopping the anti-social elements, they supported them and let the pilgrims misbehave.

In a statement issued here, Mr Kahlon has said that some people in Himachal Pradesh who hate Sikhs are misbehaving with Sikh pilgrims and tearing the flags on their vehicles and crushing them. He said that in this matter, Himachal Police has played a very neutral role and even after being present on the spot, instead of stopping the anti-social elements, they supported them and let the pilgrims misbehave.
He said that the police are challaning those Sikh pilgrims who are travelling on motorcycles with turbans but without helmets. This act of Himachal Police is condemnable. He said that this will spoil the atmosphere in the country for which the Himachal Pradesh Government will be responsible.
He has demanded from the Punjab government that the government should talk to the Chief Minister of Himachal and take action against those hate-mongers and stop the coercion being done by the police. He said that in Punjab, a traveler of any religion can hoist his flag and visit any of his religious places. Punjabis never hate anyone from which the people of Himachal should learn.
