SAS Nagar, March 19, 2025: Taking a serious view of the unearthening of peparing of food items under unhygienic conditions, the Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal has made it clear that no body will be spared for endangeing the human lives with these type of unhealthy and unhygienic foods.

Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner said that after conducting a raid by the food safety, health and MC teams on the premises situated at Mataur area on Sunday, various samples of the eatables including vegetables and other items were taken for further investigation.
She categorically said that the piece of flash (meat) recovered from the kitchen area which is wrongly mentioned as of Dog meat, is under analysis and it will be cleared by the Animal Husbandry experts soon. She appealed to the people to refrain from mongering any rumours related to this flash piece before the conclusion by the Animal Husbandry experts.
Ordering FIR against the accused playing with the human lives by this bizarre conditions of preparation, she said that the guilty will be punished as per the law. The Deputy Commissioner has also called to the Senior Superintendent of Police to take immediate legal action against the culprits and start further investigation. Meanwhile, District Police has lodged an FIR against the accused indulged in this grave human negligence under section 272 and 274 of BNS, added SSP Deepak Pareek.
Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal further directed the Health, Food Safety and Municipal Corporation teams to inspect all the vendors selling fast foods and other eatables in the Mohali to ensure proper Hygiene and sanitation. She also instructed the Food Safety teams to check the food safety licenses of these vendors and issue hefty challans in case of any negligence.
The District Health Officer Dr Amrit Warring added that our team has collected about six samples from the premises under question and challans have been issued for violating section 63 of Food Safety and Standards Act. He said that as per the directions of the Deputy Commissioner an extensive campaign would be launched to maintain the hygeine and purity in the making and selling of food
items. He said that zero tolerance policy will be implemented against such negligence and people who found indulged in such activities will be sent behind the bars.
Deputy Commissioner has also urged the Parminder Pal Singh, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Sahibazada Ajit Singh Nagar for checking of unauthorised food carts besides curbing unauthorised slaughtering of meat and taking strict action as per law.
