
Police arrests drug smuggler with heroin
S.A.S. Nagar, March 15- Mohali Police has arrested a youth who was selling heroin to the youth in the city. The arrested youth has been identified as Akbar, a resident of village Kandala, district Mohali.

Giving information in this regard, DSP City 2 Mr. Harsimran Singh Bal said that as part of the campaign launched by the police under the leadership of SSP Mr. Deepak Parik against bad elements and drug smugglers, a search operation has been launched at various places. He said that under this campaign, a police party led by SHO Inspector Jaganpreet Sohi of Police Station Aerocity, during a search operation, a youth named Akbar was arrested from village Kandala with 6 grams of heroin.
DSP Harsimran Singh Bal said that the arrested youth Akbar, during whose preliminary interrogation it has also come to light that he sells heroin in village Kandala and other nearby villages. The police registered a case against Akbar under the NDPS Act and presented him in the court. The court sent Akbar on one-day police remand. He said that during the remand, the police will find out from Akbar where he gets the heroin and who are his other accomplices in this drug smuggling.
