
Free facilities are being provided to the elderly at the old age home Tapa - Deputy Commissioner.
Hoshiarpur:- Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that the Social Security, Women and Child Development Department, Punjab Government has provided the facility of Baba Phool Government Old Age Home at Tapa (District Barnala). She said that this old age home has 72 beds, where the elderly are also staying.

She said that any needy elderly who want to stay in the old age home can get their registration done by taking their Aadhaar card to the Tehsil Complex, near Sewa Kendra, Handiya Road, Office of District Social Security Officer, Barnala or the office of Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) related to their block.
The Deputy Commissioner also said that the elderly who are staying in the old age home are being provided with rooms, health and medical services, food and drink, clothes, security and maintenance, library and other modern facilities free of cost.
He said that for registration, the name of the concerned elder, father's name, current residence, mobile number, Aadhaar card number etc. are required. He said that for more information, one can contact 01679-29110, 87280-45025.
