Nawanshahr March 13- A simple but impressive ceremony was organized in the school under the chairmanship of Headmistress Neelam Kumari on Government Smart High School Mazara Kalan/Khurd getting the Best School Award by the Punjab Government. Deputy District Education Officer Amarjit Khatkar of District Shabash Nagar reached the ceremony to congratulate the school on getting the Best School Award for the session 2024-25.
Headmistress Neelam Kumari informed that Deputy District Education Officer Amarjit Khatkar, Principal Lakhvir Singh and BNO Nawanshahr Jarnail Singh jointly said that it is a matter of great pride for the school to get the Best School Award. All this has happened due to the hardworking teachers of the school and the valuable contribution of the village.
He said that this is such a school in the area whose result comes 100 percent every year. This school is an inspiration for other schools. He said that all the facilities are available in the school. Along with this, a grant of Rs 10 lakh has also been given to the school. An amount of Rs 7 lakh 50 thousand has also been released to this school, which will help in completing the incomplete works of the school.
On this occasion, GNRI Darbara Singh presented an amount of Rs 11000 to the school and Raghubinder Pal Singh, retired SDO from the Telecom Department, honored all the teachers of the school by giving gifts. In the end, Headmistress Neelam Kumari thanked all the dignitaries present at the function.
