
No one will be allowed to tamper with the beauty of the city: Kulwant Singh
Mohali 13 March: Representatives of Confederation Resident Welfare Association Mohali held an important meeting with MLA Kulwant Singh, in which the problems of Mohali city were discussed in detail and a memorandum was also submitted regarding the problems of the city under the leadership of Resident Welfare Association Patron M.S. Aujla and President K.K. Saini.
Mohali 13 March: Representatives of Confederation Resident Welfare Association Mohali held an important meeting with MLA Kulwant Singh, in which the problems of Mohali city were discussed in detail and a memorandum was also submitted regarding the problems of the city under the leadership of Resident Welfare Association Patron M.S. Aujla and President K.K. Saini.
While talking to the media during the meeting, MLA Kulwant Singh said that all the demands put forward by the association will be considered, no one will be allowed to tamper with the beauty of the city. He said that to prevent thefts and get rid of road accidents, squares are being built on a large scale in the city, roads are being widened, while anti-social elements are being monitored with CCTV cameras.
It is worth mentioning that MLA Kulwant Singh has raised many issues in the Punjab Assembly, including the motor market of Phase-7 and Phase-1 of Mohali and the problem of parking outside the big private hospitals of Mohali. In the memorandum given by the Resident Welfare Association to MLA Kulwant Singh, the representatives of the Resident Welfare Association expressed their views on the entire draft of suggestions related to the development of the city.
In the memorandum, it was demanded that due to lack of proper cleaning methods in the city, the cleaning being done by the contractor regarding garbage should be monitored, measures should be taken to stop the increasing thefts, potholes should be filled in the roads soon, the Municipal Corporation parks should be converted into parks of medicinal plants, a square should be made in the name of Bhai Ghanayya ji, a great man of human service, and his statue should be made, a committee should be formed to monitor the trees planted by the corporation during the rainy season, empty boards and unauthorized advertisements are installed on the pillars on the roads, which cause accidents and reduce the beauty of the city. Therefore, there is a need to remove the illegal telephone poles lying vacant in the city, there is a need to clean the footpaths, take immediate action to build a shed on the Chandigarh pattern to keep stray dogs, strictly implement the measures to prevent noise pollution, make the height of railings in parks at least 4 feet, make platforms for doing yoga in big parks, install speed breakers on the city roads, order to make monthly payment of the expenses incurred on the maintenance of parks, etc. The demands included paving the parks, identifying and providing space for the youth to play, implementing the notification of increase in rates for the maintenance of parks by the Resident Association, getting the government land vacated from in front of the shopkeepers. During the meeting, Confederation Residential Welfare Association Mohali, MS Ojla Patron, KK Saini President, Gurmel Singh Senior Vice President, Bakshish Singh Vice President, OP Chotani General Secretary were also present.
