Nawanshahr- Guru Nanak Mission Seva Society, a social service organization of Nawanshahr area, is organizing a free eye operation camp at Gurdwara Singh Sabha Adda Lariyan on Wednesday, March 19, in collaboration with Mann Parivar Rahon. This information was shared by Surjit Singh, Chief Sevadar of Guru Nanak Mission Seva Society Nawanshahr and Sukhdev Singh Mann, President of Gurdwara Singh Sabha Adda Lariyan, and said that this camp will be dedicated by the entire family of Sukhdev Singh Mann and USA resident Manjit Singh Mann to the memory of his father late Shri Nazar Singh Mann and mother Dalip Kaur.
Late Shri Nazar Singh Mann served as Senior Vice President of Gurdwara Singh Sabha Adda Lariyan for a long time and also contributed significantly in the construction of the building of Gurdwara Sahib.
He further informed that during this camp, eye patients will be examined by Dr. Mandeep Kaur, Ophthalmologist of Mandeep Eye Hospital, Nawanshahr and her team from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm. The operations of the patients found eligible for surgery will be done free of cost at Mandeep Eye Hospital, Nawanshahr. Medicines will also be given free of cost to the needy patients during the camp.
On this occasion, he informed that more than 17 eye check-up and operation camps have been organized by Guru Nanak Mission Seva Society in the past and every year, apart from the eye check-up camp, at least two operation camps are organized free of cost. The last free camp was organized in last November at Guru Nanak Mission Charitable Dispensary, Nawanshahr dedicated to the Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji with the cooperation of UK resident S. Sohan Singh, in which free operations of about 90 patients were done.
On this occasion, he informed that in the coming days, the society is also going to start some other services in the field of social service. He expressed his gratitude to the Sangat of the entire area for their valuable support and contribution to the society from time to time. On this occasion, Didar Singh Gahoon, retired DSP, Jaswinder Singh Saini, Jagdeep Singh Cashier, Manmohan Singh and Surinder Singh were also present.
