S.A.S.Nagar, 07 March 2025:- Senior Superintendent of Police, District S.A.S.Nagar, Shri Deepak Pareek I.P.S. informed that on 05-03-2025, Kamaljit Singh son of Paramjit Singh resident of village Mubarakpur district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, currently resident tenant house number 64 Gilco Valley Kharar, S.A.S.Nagar had informed Police Station City Kharar that he has a medical store in Swaraj Nagar Kharar.
Uday Pratap Singh and Police Officer Jasbir Singh Sandhu came to his shop and threatened him and snatched Rs 1 lakh at gunpoint and later demanded more money, on which case number 76 dated 05-03-2025 was registered under sections 140(2), 308(5), 351(2), 61(2), B.N.S. And a case was registered against Uday Pratap Singh alias Uday son Jaswinder Singh resident of House No. 17 Block, C, Sector-125 Sunny Enclave Police Station City Kharar and police officer Jasbir Singh Sandhu under 25-54-59 Arms Act, Police Station City Kharar, in which accused Uday Pratap Singh was arrested on 05-03-2025.
He was produced in the Hon'ble Court, where the judge has approved 1 day police remand of the accused. The arrest of accused Jasbir Singh is pending in the case. The matter is being investigated thoroughly.
