Hoshiarpur - Constituency MLA Dr. Ishank released a grant of Rs 5 lakh for a new Janj Ghar (community building) in village Hukaran. This Janj Ghar will be built with a grant of Rs 5 lakh, which will serve as a convenient place for weddings and other social functions of the villagers.
On this occasion, MLA Dr. Ishank said that the Punjab government is committed to the development of villages. He said that by building the Janj Ghar, the villagers will get a good place to organize their social functions, which will prove beneficial for the villagers. During the ceremony, village Sarpanch Pushpa Rani, former Sarpanch Sohan Singh, Lakhbir Billa, Panch Nirmaljit, Panch Krishna Devi, Balbir Singh Panch, Ram Singh Panch, Malkit Singh and other dignitaries were present.
Sarpanch Pushpa Rani thanked MLA Dr. Ishank and said that the people of the village were demanding the construction of Janj Ghar for a long time, which is now going to be fulfilled. He said that this is a big gift from the MLA to the people of the village. Former Sarpanch Sohan Singh and other villagers also thanked the MLA and hoped that such efforts will continue in future for the progress of the village.
Dr. Ishank assured all the villagers that development work will be carried forward rapidly in Chabbewal constituency. He said that he will always be ready to provide necessary facilities in every village.
