He was preparing to leave for the Chandigarh march. This arrest was made by Sangrur police. It is noteworthy that after the failure of talks between SKM and the Punjab government on Monday, the Punjab Police is arresting farmer leaders from across the state, so that the march to be held in Chandigarh from March 5 can be stopped.

On the other hand, Punjab and Chandigarh Police have also made strict security arrangements at the Chandigarh border to prevent farmers from entering Chandigarh. During this, about 2000 personnel of Chandigarh Police have been deployed, who have increased vigilance on 12 major roads entering Chandigarh.
It is worth mentioning that the United Kisan Morcha had announced to hold a protest in Chandigarh from Wednesday, March 5, regarding the demands of farmers and laborers. Although earlier, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann had also called a meeting to talk to the farmers on March 3, but that meeting remained inconclusive.
