Chandigarh/Mohali March 5 – In view of the inconvenience and troubles of the people, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann lauded the decision taken regarding Tehsildars and said that according to the time and circumstances, the government has taken the right decision and has eliminated the inconvenience of the people. These views were expressed by Naresh Kumar Sehgal, President of All India Hindu Kalyan Samiti and Punjab Pradesh Khatri Sabha Regd. during his visit to Mohali/Chandigarh.
Naresh Kumar Sehgal had come to Punjab to listen to the pain of Khatri families. He issued a press note. He further said that today no department of the Punjab Government generates as much revenue as Tehsil and Sub-Tehsil offices. He expressed his views on the shifting of Tehsildars and Naib Tehsils. He said that this is also a decision of the Punjab Government in public interest, a step taken in view of the problems of the public, which will improve office work on a large scale and daily revenue of crores of rupees related to the Tehsil office will increase.
Naresh Kumar Sehgal, President of All India Hindu Kalyan Samiti also clarified that our organization is not associated with any political party, but the Punjab government forced us to speak on these decisions taken by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Crores of residents of Punjab have direct contact with tehsil offices on a daily basis, whether it is registration, affidavit, mutation, change, Nishan Dehi, power of attorney, affidavit etc. There are many works related to tehsil offices for every common and special person, due to which they have to visit tehsil offices.
He also clarified that corruption is also rampant in these tehsil offices and the government should take more steps to stop it. Naresh Kumar Sehgal also said that just as strict steps have been taken regarding tehsils, in the same way Chief Minister Mann should also get rid of the big problems of the people like dharna and road blockade.
Today, examinations of school students are going on in Punjab and everyone has to travel in vehicles for their work, but one never knows when a protest will take place on which road and the road will be closed due to some reason. Efforts should also be made to find a solution to this.
