3 March Garhshankar- Under the ongoing campaign against drug smugglers by Sandeep Malik IPS/SSP Hoshiarpur, Sarabjit Singh Bahia SP, under the supervision of D (Investigation) and able guidance of Deputy Superintendent of Police Sub Division Garhshankar, Inspector Jai Pal, Head Officer, Police Station Garhshankar got a major success when ASI Mahinder Pal, Police Station Garhshankar along with police party was present near village Kukkad Mazara during patrolling and checking.
Talwinder Singh alias Laddu son of Avtar Singh resident of Kukkad Mazara, his companion Gurwinder Singh alias Golu son of Paramjit Singh resident of Kukkad Mazara were arrested on suspicion and searched. 128 intoxicant pills were recovered from Talwinder Singh alias Laddu and 122 intoxicant pills were recovered from Gurwinder Singh alias Golu.
A case has been registered against them under section 28, 22-11-85 of NDPS Act. Both the persons are being interrogated intensively to find out from whom they buy these drugs and to whom they further sell them.
