Hoshiarpur, February 19 - Interesting matches were seen on the sixth day of the 62nd All India Principal Harbhajan Singh Memorial Football Tournament being organized at the playground of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur under the leadership of Kulwant Singh Sangha, President of Principal Harbhajan Singh Sporting Club Mahilpur. During today's various matches, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Davinder Singh, Manjinder Singh, Shivinderjit Singh Bains Retired SP, Roshanjit Singh Panam, Kishan Bhatia, Harjinder Singh Minhas, writer Baljinder Mann, Jamsher Singh Tambar, Dr. Raj Kumar, Manjinder Singh, Gurpreet Singh participated and got introduced to the players. In the first academy category match of the day, the team of JCT Football Academy Phagwara defeated Football Academy Buddo by a margin of 2-0 and secured a place in the final. The first goal of the winning team was scored by Zaib Ul Raza in the 11th minute of the match and the second goal was scored by Rohit Kumar in the 22nd minute. In the club category match, Young Football Club Mahilpur defeated STFC Srinagar by a margin of 2-0. In the 78th minute of the match, player Harjeet Singh scored a brilliant goal for the winning team.
The second goal was scored by Harsh Tiwari in the 86th minute. In the semi-final match of the college category held today, Khalsa College Mahilpur defeated Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar by a margin of 1-0 and secured a place in the final. In the semi-final matches to be held tomorrow, under the academy category (under-18), the teams of Football Academy Mahilpur and Punjab Football Club will clash.
