One day international seminar on 'moral values' organized at Khalsa College

Garhshankar- A one day international seminar on 'moral values: family, society and education' was organized by the Liberal Arts Society of the college in collaboration with Jagat Punjabi Sabha Canada at Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College, Garhshankar, run under the management of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. The seminar was inaugurated by lighting the lamp after singing shabads.

Former MLA and member Shiromani Committee contractor Surinder Singh Bhulewal Rathan specially attended the seminar. The inaugural session of the seminar was presided over by Jagat Punjabi Sabha Canada Chairman Ajaib Singh Chattha and Gurcharan Singh Sandhu Canada was also present with him. College Principal Dr. Amandeep Hira formally welcomed the guests.
Dr. Jasvir Singh Principal Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College Shri Anandpur Sahib gave a brief information about the seminar. Dr. Surjit Singh Bhatti Retired. Professor and Fellow Punjabi University Patiala in his keynote address gave detailed information about the importance of moral values ??in life with reference to history and Gurbani.
The second session of the seminar was chaired by Dr. Balwinderjit Kaur Bhatti, retired professor, Punjab University, Patiala. Dr. JB Sekhon, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahilpur, in his address as a resource person, inspired the students to connect with literature by referring to Punjabi literature and stories from Panchtantra. Professors and researchers from various colleges read their papers.
Dr. Balwinderjit Kaur Bhatti praised the scholars who read the papers and said that such seminars are the need of the hour and such efforts should continue. In the farewell session, international Sikh preacher Giani Balbir Singh Changiyara congratulated the principal and staff for the success of the seminar. In the end, Prof. Lakhwinderjit Kaur, co-convener, thanked the guests.
The stage was conducted by Dr. Harwinder Kaur and Dr. Kanwaljit Kaur. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Ranjit Singh Banga College, Captain RS Pathani, Yograj Gambhir, Tarlok Singh Arora, Dalveer Singh Garhshanker, professors, staff and students of various institutions were present.
