Hoshiarpur- Monthly review meeting regarding National Health Programs was held today in the Civil Surgeon Office with all the program officers and senior medical officers of the district under the able chairmanship of Civil Surgeon Dr. Pawan Kumar Shagotra. In which the goals and achievements of all the health programs going on in the district were reviewed.

While inaugurating the meeting, Civil Surgeon Dr. Pawan Kumar addressed all the senior medical officers and said that special attention should be paid to achieving the targets of registration, examination and complete vaccination of pregnant women. The list of high-risk pregnant women must be with every SMO and the medical officer of the nearest Aam Aadmi Clinic of the concerned area.
There should also be a progress report of high-risk pregnant women. It should be ensured that every high-risk pregnant woman gets examined by specialist doctors on the day of PMSMA. Their ASHA and follow-up should be ensured through ANM. Appropriate efforts should be made to ensure that deliveries are more in government institutions than in private institutions. Maternal mortality should be taken seriously and every possible effort should be made to prevent it. 100% vaccination of children should be ensured. More attention should be paid to the vaccination of migrant children. Apart from this, 100-day TB control program, hepatitis control program and other programs were also reviewed. Dr. Pawan Kumar said that attention should be paid to those parameters which are low in terms of performance.
