Una, January 31- Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal visited Prem Ashram in Una on Friday and presented bicycles to special children there. Additional Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Una Mahendra Pal Gurjar was also present on this occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration is committed to the upliftment and encouragement of special children. Under the Samarthya program, four bicycles have been provided to these children, and in view of their needs, further arrangements for bicycles and skates will be made. Apart from this, sports material and other necessary resources will also be provided.
He said that our effort is that these talented children should not lag behind anyone. They should get suitable opportunities to show their talent. Every possible effort will be made to prepare the children for Special Olympics by giving them more encouragement and to make them self-reliant. Under the Samarthya program, every necessary help will be provided to them with the help of CSR and Red Cross. Also, the facilities of Prem Ashram will be further improved through the Municipal Corporation.
On this occasion, Principal of Prem Ashram, Sister Sanjana expressed her gratitude to the district administration.
Children's faces lit up after getting bicycles
On receiving the bicycles, the faces of the children lit up with joy. They enthusiastically cycled in the Prem Ashram premises and thanked the administration. Everyone present there was overwhelmed to see their happiness.
District Child Protection Officer Kamaldeep Singh, Tehsil Welfare Officer Jitendra Sharma and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
