Devigarh (Patiala) January 28- To ensure safety of school going minors and promote compliance of road safety rules, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dudhan Sadhan Kripalveer Singh conducted checking drive under Safe Vehicle Policy in Devigarh. Five challans were issued to the violators during the campaign.
The SDM stressed that this initiative has been started with the aim of preventing minors from driving vehicles. He said that two meetings were held with school principals to make them aware about the dangers associated with driving motorcycles and scooters by minor students. Besides, written notices were sent to parents through schools, urging them to keep their children away from such unsafe behavior.
The SDM reiterated the administration's commitment towards road safety and appealed to parents and schools to cooperate in ensuring a safe environment for young students.
