Punjab Pollution Control Board celebrated Republic Day by giving message of environmental protection

Patiala, January 27- Chairman Professor (Dr.) Adarsh ??Pal Wig hoisted the national tricolor on the occasion of Republic Day at the head office of Punjab Pollution Control Board. On this occasion, various awareness campaigns "Say No to Plastic" being jointly run by the Regional Office and the Head Office for the prevention of pollution, exhibition of interlock plastic tiles made of straw pellets, awareness material about complete ban on China door, cloth and jute bags, reuse, recycling from its commercial use to get rid of the problem of burning of straw, various pamphlets etc. were organized.

Chief Environmental Engineer of the Board-(Dr.) Lavneet Dubey, Chief Environmental Engineer-Rakesh Nayyar, Senior Environmental Engineer (Dr.) Rajiv Gupta, Senior Environmental Engineer-Praveen Saluja were also present. The Chairman also released the children's book "Paryavaran Sanrakshan Sohnya". A play on the life of Shaheed Madan Lal Dhingra and Shri Savarkar Ji was also enacted. Dr. Wig in his message paid tribute to the freedom fighters and elaborated on the greatness of Republic Day, the great gift of justice and equality to all the citizens of the country and our responsibility and role in preserving it.
In his multi-faceted environmental message, he gave a message to everyone to contribute as much as possible in "Paryavaran Kar Seva". Senior Legal Officer Amrik Singh explained in detail about the structure of the Constitution, its implementation, its features. He also explained about environmental laws.
On this occasion, Secretary Harmesh Singh, Environmental Engineer Navtesh Singla, Environmental Engineer Rohit Singla, Amarjeet Jolly Personal Assistant, Anil Kumar, ACFA, Avtar Singh, Scientific Officer, Genetic Scientific Officer, Madho Rahi-Programmer PR, Rajinder Sidhu, Suresh Moudgil and other officers and staff played an important role in making this program a success.
