SAS Nagar, January 27, 2025: Exercising the powers conferred by Section 20 of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 and Rule 5 of the Punjab Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Rules 2015, the Governor of Punjab has reconstituted the Dispute Redressal Committee of District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali) to resolve disputes relating to street vendors.
Giving details, Chairman of the Committee and retired Civil Judge (Senior Division) Ravinder Singh said that the Dispute Redressal Committee will deal with all the local bodies of the district and will be headquartered at Municipal Corporation Mohali. The other two members of the committee included Surjit Singh, retired Assistant Commissioner MC Mohali and social worker Jashanpreet Kaur.
