
Workshop organised by Sarpanchs for admission in vocational courses

On this occasion, district level team of Punjab Skill Development Mission informed that candidates are being admitted in Skill Training Centre established at Nurmahal (District Jalandhar) to make the rural unemployed youth of the district employable by imparting skill training. Under this scheme, unemployed youth are being given five months free residential skill training in Electrical Foreman and Front Office Associate courses in Government approved residential training centres.
Apart from free skill training, free accommodation, food, copies/books, uniform and playground facilities are also being provided in these training centres established by training partners. After skill training, candidates will be given Government skill certification certificate. After training, candidates will be placed in private companies related to these courses.
Candidates will be given mandatory stipend during placement. Candidates aged 15-35 years and at least 10th pass can enroll in these courses. On this occasion, BDPO Banga Adesh Kumar instructed all the Sarpanches of the block to search for eligible candidates from their villages and get them enrolled in skill training courses. District Employment and Entrepreneurship Bureau, Placement Officer Amit Kumar informed the youth about various employment related facilities under the department.

If any rural unemployed youth of the district is interested in enrolling in this government scheme, then he can contact the above address before 31.01.2025 with copies of his Aadhar card, educational certificate, bank account, caste certificate, any certificate related to poverty line (BPL/Blue Card/MGNREGA Card etc.) and 4 passport size photographs.
