
Awareness seminar organized regarding National Road Safety Month
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 22: Incharge of Traffic Education Cell of District Police ASI Janak Raj and lady constable Khushpreet Kaur along with Incharge Traffic Jasvir Singh, Government Girls Senior Secondary School Ladra, Senior Secondary School Lalru and Incharge Traffic Zone ASI Surinder Singh organized a seminar in SAS Nagar to make truck drivers and teachers, students, Greystar staff aware about National Road Safety Month.

On this occasion, reflector tape was installed to follow traffic rules keeping in mind the foggy days. Information was given about not driving under the influence of alcohol and traffic rules, not driving under the age of 18, getting compensation from cell fund in case of accident with unknown vehicle, lane driving, not using pressure horn, environmental protection.
He told about installing high security number plates on vehicles, wearing helmets on two-wheelers, parking vehicles properly instead of parking them on the road, using indicators while turning left and right, not violating red lights, not driving under the influence of alcohol, not bursting crackers on Bullet motorcycles and not modifying them. He also appealed to strictly follow all traffic rules so that road accidents can be reduced. Information was given about calling helpline numbers 112 and 181 for seeking and giving assistance from the police, as well as calling 1930 for cyber crime.
