
13 cadets of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Preparatory Institute selected in NDA and other defence academies in just two months
SAS Nagar/Chandigarh, January 17: A new milestone has been set with 13 cadets of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI); SAS Nagar (Mohali) being selected in the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA) and other defence training academies in the last two months.
SAS Nagar/Chandigarh, January 17: A new milestone has been set with 13 cadets of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI); SAS Nagar (Mohali) being selected in the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA) and other defence training academies in the last two months.
Sharing information in this regard, Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Mr. Aman Arora today said that after the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann assumed power in the state; the number of cadets selected in various defence training academies of this institution has reached 66.
This success is a testament to the state government’s commitment towards fulfilling the aspirations of the youth aspiring to join the defence services. He informed that eight cadets Armanpreet Singh, Keshav Singla, Suryavardhan Singh, Fatehvir Singh, Suryansh Thakur, Bhaveveer Singh, Raghav Sharma and Sahil Sharma have joined NDA, Khadakwasla (Pune) for NDA-153 course. Similarly, Aniket Sharma joined Cadets Training Wing (CTW) at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh, while Manas Taneja joined CTW at Secunderabad in Telangana for Technical Entry Scheme (TES)-52 course.
He further informed that Vasu Mehta joined Air Force Academy (AFA), Dundigal for 217 AFA course. Jaskaran Singh (CTW of MRSAFPI) joined 217 course of AFA, while Prashant Kumar (CTW of MRSAFPI) joined 92 RVYO (Remount Veterinary Young Officer) course at Remount Veterinary Corps Centre and College, Meerut. It is noteworthy that Cadet Armanpreet Singh secured first position in the All India Merit List for NDA-153 course. While Keshav Singla secured 15th rank in the All India Merit List for the same course.
The Cabinet Minister congratulated these cadets on choosing a career in the Defence Services and wished them all the best for their training and bright future in the Defence Services. The Director of the Institute, Major General Ajay H Chauhan, VSM, informed that five more cadets of the Institute are awaiting joining letters for the course starting in March 2025. Apart from this, cadets of the 13th course are giving their Services Selection Board (SSB) interviews.
