Patiala, January 10- Three youths died after a car fell into a pond due to the dense fog in Patiala district on Thursday night. The deceased include a soldier posted in the Navy and a minor.
According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Kamalpreet Singh (17), Indira (22) and Hardeep Singh (25). All three were residents of Dittupur village in Patiala. Hardeep Singh was posted in the Merchant Navy and had come home on leave. Visibility was very low due to dense fog in the area.
The car strayed from the road and fell directly into the pond and the three youths died due to drowning. The police who reached the spot took possession of the bodies and handed them over to the heirs after postmortem.
