Awareness camps should be organized to make Patiala district drug free: Isha Singal

Patiala 10 January- Additional Deputy Commissioner of Patiala Isha Singal held a meeting of the district level committee under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in the administrative complex. In the meeting, she gave strict orders to the drug inspectors and police department officials to coordinate with each other and make Patiala district drug free and stop drug trafficking.

Patiala 10 January- Additional Deputy Commissioner of Patiala Isha Singal held a meeting of the district level committee under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in the administrative complex. In the meeting, she gave strict orders to the drug inspectors and police department officials to coordinate with each other and make Patiala district drug free and stop drug trafficking.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the youth should be motivated that those youth who have become addicted to drugs due to some reason should be treated and de-addicted. He also said that police investigation officers should be trained to punish the accused caught in drug trafficking cases so that no drug smuggler can be acquitted in the court. He gave strict instructions that a thorough investigation should be done into the recovery of pregabalin and other drugs used for drug addiction.
He said that continuous checking should be done to stop the sale of drugs and its report should be immediately submitted to this committee. The Additional Deputy Commissioner directed the District Education Officers to take certificates from every school, primary and senior secondary schools and colleges that no tobacco products or any other intoxicants are being sold near their schools and colleges.
He also directed to organize awareness camps against intoxication in schools and colleges.
