District level meeting of Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin organized

Una, January 23 - District level meeting of Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin was held in the auditorium of DRDA office building which was presided over by District Council President Neelam Kumari. In the meeting, the work progress of various components related to Swachh Bharat Mission was discussed sequentially.

In the meeting, 64 works of various Gram Panchayats related to gray water management were approved on which Rs 37 crore 46 lakh 47 thousand are being spent. Apart from this, approval was also given for the construction of 1200 individual household toilets in all the development blocks of the district, in which Rs 14 crore 40 lakh is being spent at the rate of Rs 12 thousand for each toilet. In the meeting, approval was also given for the construction of 46 community toilet complexes to be built at a cost of Rs 13 crore 80 lakh in various development blocks of the district. In the meeting, District Council Chairperson Neelam Kumari informed that till now an amount of Rs 4 crore 39 lakh has been released under various items during the financial year 2023-24, out of which Rs 3 crore 94 lakh 41 thousand 135 have been spent. Which is 89.84 percent of the total amount released. Neelam Kumari directed the concerned departmental officers to complete various works under the Swachh Bharat Mission within the stipulated time.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal Gurjar, Project Officer DRDA Shefali Sharma, Block Development Officers of various development blocks and officers and employees of other departments were also present.
