Rajpura- Police has claimed to have arrested the thieves who committed the robbery and theft incident last day and the junk shop owner who bought the stolen goods within 24 hours.
Giving information about this, Inspector Balwinder Singh, Chief Officer of City Police Station Rajpura told the press that under the campaign launched by senior officers against anti-social elements, Rajpura Police got success when the police party of City Police Station Rajpura arrested 04 people involved in robbery and snatching:
1. Sagar son of Raji resident of house number 96 Dheha Basti Mirch Mandi Rajpura,
2. Sikandar son of Raju resident of Dheha Basti Mirch Mandi,
3. Salim Khan son of Makhan resident near Ganesh Mandir Mirch Mandi Rajpura and junk shop owner:
4. Sachin Kumar son of Raj Kumar resident of house number 26 D Gagan Vihar Phase 1 near Shiv Mandir, present tenant Manjit Singh resident of Guru Teg Bahadur Colony, Dhakansu Road, Rajpura, District Patiala was arrested and 3 ACs were recovered from him. In this regard, a case was registered in Police Station City Rajpura under INS 33(4), 305, 317(2).
He further informed that on 18-1-2025 an Activa was stolen by putting chilli powder in its eyes. In this regard a case was registered in Police Station City Rajpura under 307(3)(5) BNS, in which during patrolling the stolen Activa number PB 39 K 0759, colour black, along with brief case was also seized.
Who further informed that theft cases are registered against him earlier also, Hon'ble Court has given him two days police remand and it is expected that further interrogation will lead to many revelations. In this regard Rajpura Police as well as Police Station City Rajpura's head Balwinder Singh, Jagdish Kumar, Sunil Kumar are being appreciated.
