Hoshiarpur- As per the directions of Hon’ble Commissioner Food and Drug Administration Punjab Dr. Abhinav Trikha and Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Pawan Kumar Shagotra; District Health Officer Dr. Jatinder Bhatia and the team of Food Safety Department are conducting raids in various parts of Hoshiarpur district to provide clean and quality food to the people.
Under the leadership of Jatinder Bhatia, Food Safety Officer Vivek Kumar and Food Safety Officer Abhinav Khosla inspected food items at various places in Hoshiarpur district. And keeping in mind the winter season, the Food Safety Team inspected peanuts etc. The Mahilpur team took samples of ghee, chickpea and mustard oil in Hoshiarpur city.
They have been sent to the Food Lab Kharar for examination. Further action will be taken after the results come. At the same time, the Food Safety team also inspected the bar and restaurant and destroyed the mocktails and cocktails on the spot. On this occasion, Dr. Jatinder Bhatia said that no one who plays with the health of the people will be spared. Appropriate action will be taken against those who do so as per the rules.
He instructed the shopkeepers that no shop should have expired items; in case of giving them, action will be taken under the Food Safety Standards Act. He said that the shopkeepers who are not registered should get registered as soon as possible.
