
E-rickshaws provided to children of slum areas for transportation convenience under Naya Rahan Project
Patiala, December 26- Patiala District Administration launched the Naya Rahan Project to achieve the goal of taking out-of-school and drop-out children back to schools. Under this, two e-rickshaws were provided today.

During a function at the Zila Parishad Complex here, under the theme “Padna Hai – Padhana Hai, Sabu Na Lehke Jana Hai”, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Anuprita Johal provided these rickshaws and said that SC Corporation and Madhav KRG Environmental Solution Private Limited, village Akalgarh, Bhadson; with the support of Rs. 1 lakh 18 thousand under CSR Fund, 2 e-rickshaws purchased with Rs. 2 lakh 36 thousand have been provided to the needy beneficiaries.
Anuprita Johal congratulated the beneficiaries and said that while these beneficiaries have got a new source of livelihood, 35 poor students from slum areas have been helped to take them to nearby schools free of cost. The Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) informed that so far 30 e-rickshaws have been provided by the district administration.
On this occasion, Madhav KRG representatives GM HR Vijay Mohan, CSR Incharge Gurmeet Singh, DPM Reena Rani, District MIM Ravinder Singh, BPM Varun Prashar, Principal Suman Lata and others were present.
