Garhshankar- The monthly meeting of Doaba Sahitya Sabha Registered Garhshankar was held under the chairmanship of the president of the society, Dr. Bikkar Singh Principal, at the local Major Singh Mauji Memorial Library, Gandhi Park, Garhshankar. Releasing the proceedings of the meeting to the press, the general secretary of the society, Mr. Pawan Kumar Bhamian, said that this meeting was dedicated to the martyrdom fortnight.
At this time, Dr. Bikkar Singh, while describing the historical events and incidents of this fortnight, said that the entire fight of Guru Gobind Singh Ji was against oppression. It was against the social inequality, caste pride and the rulers of the time. It was to create self-respect among the oppressed people.
After the discussion, the poets who attended the Kavi Darbar were Sarb Shri Pawan Kumar Bhamian, Balbir Singh Khanpuri, Joga Singh Bhamian, pensioner leader Master Hansraj, Avtar Singh Pakhowal, Sarwan Sidhu Moranwali, Parminder Singh, Tara Singh Cheda, Krishan Garshankari, Satnam Singh, Principal Darbara Ram, DTF leader Mukesh Kumar Gujarati, Gurcharan Singh and special guests from America. 
The poets present, including Sewa Singh Nurpuri, presented their compositions depicting the events related to the Martyrdom Fortnight.
