
DLSA organizes awareness seminar on the occasion of Constitution Day

Nawanshahr/Rahon: During a seminar organized by District Legal Services Authority Shabhas Nagar on the occasion of Constitution Day, Para Legal Volunteer Baldev Bharti said that in India, 'Constitution Day' or 'National Law Day' is celebrated every year on 26 November.
Because on this day, the Indian Constitution was formally adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949 and it came into force on 26 January 1950. The Central Government issued a gazette notification on 19 November 2015 and declared 26 November as 'Constitution Day'.
PLV Baldev Bharti also informed that the year-long celebrations under the theme 'Hamara Samvidhan-Hamara Swabhimaan' to mark the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution across the country have been launched on 26 November 2024 at a special function in the Constitution House in the old building of Parliament.
During this function, two copies of the Constitution in Sanskrit and Maithili languages, a commemorative coin and a postage stamp have also been released.
