Una, November 26: On the occasion of National Milk Day, an awareness camp was organized at the sub-division level in Una under the aegis of the Animal Husbandry Department on Tuesday. The program was presided over by Dr. Dinesh Singh Parmar, Joint Director (Project), Animal Husbandry Department, Una. It is worth mentioning that National Milk Day is celebrated every year on November 26 on the birthday of Dr. Verghese Kurien, the father of White Revolution in India, to commemorate his legacy.
About 60 people including cattle rearers participated in the camp. Dairy and animal husbandry experts Dr. Amit Sharma, Dr. Mohit Sharma, Dr. Ankush Sharma, Dr. Radhika Sharma, Dr. Shagun Mahajan, Dr. Pankaj Rana and Dr. Vivek Lath made the cattle rearers aware about clean milk production and the usefulness of the cooperative sector in dairy farming through presentations.
Dr. Dinesh Parmar called upon the people present to join the cooperative sector in dairy while the BDC member department of Ajouli also expressed his views.
