He said that many progressive farmers in the district are successfully supplementing the phosphorus element with other high quality fertilizers available in the market, which did not have any adverse effect on their yield.
Referring to Gurpreet Singh, a farmer of Gigemajra village, he said that last year, Gurpreet Singh's experiment of supplementing phosphorus content by mixing urea with single super phosphate in potato fields instead of DAP was very successful, with which the yield was full. remained
According to farmer Gurpreet Singh, he is using the same fertilizer mixture in his fields this year also, taking encouragement from his experience last year. He says that when we increase the demand of only one fertilizer in the market, according to the economic phenomenon, it is natural that its supply will decrease, so if we get into the habit of using alternative fertilizers, then everyone in the market will A reasonable supply of fertilizer will be available.
Agriculture Extension Officer Sucha Singh, who was present with him, appealed to the farmers to supply the phosphorus content required for wheat and potato planting by using other fertilizers available in the market such as NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium), Triple Superphosphate, Single Can also do from superphosphate etc. So don't depend on DAP alone.
