According to Gurbakshish Singh Antal, to boost the multi-cultural culture of the country, folk artists from different states have been specially invited to the fair to expose the young generation to the rich folk arts, folk songs and folk dances of India.
According to the group leader Shah Rukh, who gave information about the Nagara group that arrived at the fair, this folk dance has been going on from their ancestors since the time of the Mughals and Rajput kings. When the Rajput King Rana Sanga fought the Mughals on the Khanwa plain, the Nagara folk-dance, a heroic saga, was performed as a symbol of the joy of victory. After that, every happy occasion in Rajput households is expressed by playing Nagara. Apart from Rajasthan, this folk dance is also popular in Uttar Pradesh. In this folk dance, the dance is performed by artists in the form of hero and heroine using folk instruments such as Nagara-Nagadi, Dholak, Khanjari, Majira, Jhandi and harmonium.
These artists expressed their gratitude to Mela Officer-cum-Additional Deputy Commissioner Sonam Chaudhary for giving them the opportunity to participate in this fair in the land known as the symbol of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji's Lasani bravery and they played Nagara. K got an opportunity to sing songs of bravery on the land of those martyrs.
