The state government will give financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh for marriage to registered workers and dependent children

Una, October 16 - Himachal Pradesh Building and Construction Workers Welfare Board Chairman Nardev Singh Kanwar said that the Himachal government has decided to increase the assistance amount provided for the marriage of registered workers and dependent children from Rs 51 thousand to Rs 2 lakh. Apart from this, adequate financial assistance is also being provided for the higher education of the children of the beneficiaries.

Una, October 16 - Himachal Pradesh Building and Construction Workers Welfare Board Chairman Nardev Singh Kanwar said that the Himachal government has decided to increase the assistance amount provided for the marriage of registered workers and dependent children from Rs 51 thousand to Rs 2 lakh. Apart from this, adequate financial assistance is also being provided for the higher education of the children of the beneficiaries. He gave this information in the awareness camps organized by Himachal Pradesh Building and Construction Workers Welfare Board for migrant laborers at the under-construction PGI Satellite Center in Malahat, Una on Wednesday and for the villagers in Maidi Khas. Shri Chintpurni MLA Sudarshan Bablu was also specially present in the camp organized in Maidi.
Provision of Rs 4 lakh for single woman for house construction
Mr Kanwar said that the state government has made a provision of Rs 4 lakh assistance to single women in every panchayat to build their own permanent house. He called upon all workers to register with the board. He said that to get registered with the Labour Welfare Board, the age of workers working in building and other construction works should be between 18 and 60 years and it is mandatory for them to have worked in the last 12 months. For registration, the worker will have to submit Aadhar card, copy of bank pass book, ration card, copy of family register and 2 passport size photographs and certificate of 90 days of work in the office of the Labour Welfare Officer concerned in the office of the District Labour Officer.
Induction stoves and washing machines distributed to workers
During this, Nardev Singh Kanwar distributed Shramik Cards to 60 migrant labourers registered with the Shramik Welfare Board at the PGI Satellite Centre. Apart from this, 35 induction stoves and 5 washing machines were also distributed to the villagers in Maidi Khas. He said that this initiative was taken by the Himachal Pradesh government with the aim of promoting the safety and social welfare of workers. He said that the Shramik Cards being distributed to the migrant labourers by the state government will help them in getting the benefits of government schemes and facilities which will improve their living conditions. He also assured that the state government is committed to protect the interests of migrant labourers by organizing similar programs in future as well.
The development of the state lies in the upliftment of the poor - Sudarshan Bablu
On this occasion, Sudarshan Bablu of Shri Chintpurni said that the development of the state happens through the upliftment of the poor people of the state. He said that the state government is implementing many public welfare schemes run for the welfare of the poor people in a planned manner. He said that the complete development of Shri Chintpurni area is his goal. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, development work in the area is being given new dimensions. During this, the MLA announced to give Rs 10 lakh for carrying out various development works in Maidi Khas Panchayat.
On this occasion, State Tourism Development Board Board of Directors member Pitambar Jaswal, Youth Congress President Varun Puri, Maidi head Reena Thakur, Labor Welfare Officer Aman Sharma along with other officers and employees were present.
