
Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth Rs 10.20 crore in Haroli Vidhansabha
Una, October 15 - Giving new dimensions to the pace of development in Haroli assembly constituency, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri on Tuesday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development projects worth Rs 10.20 crore. This includes the inauguration of the newly established Senior Executive Engineer office of the Electricity Board
Una, October 15 - Giving new dimensions to the pace of development in Haroli assembly constituency, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri on Tuesday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development projects worth Rs 10.20 crore. This includes the inauguration of the newly established Senior Executive Engineer office of the Electricity Board in Haroli, which will directly benefit about 44,000 population of the area. Apart from this, the Deputy Chief Minister also inaugurated the Assistant Engineer Office in the Sub Division Tahliwal of the Public Works Department.
On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister performed the Bhoomi Pujan of a 36 meter long bridge on the Panjawar-Bathdi link road over Haroli Khad at a cost of Rs 4.64 crore. Along with this, Bhoomi Pujan of another bridge over Chandpur Khad at a cost of Rs 3.82 crore and inauguration of a 34.55 meter long RCC bridge over Chandpur Khad at a cost of Rs 1.73 crore was also done.
The target is fully developed Haroli
Addressing a public meeting in Haroli, the Deputy Chief Minister said that Haroli Assembly constituency has now become an ideal model of progress in the state. We are preparing Haroli for a bright future for the coming generations, where sustainable and holistic development will be combined. This journey of development is continuing without any discrimination and we will continue it further with widespread public support.
The Deputy Chief Minister informed that work is progressing rapidly on 4 important projects of Jal Shakti Department worth Rs 28 crore in Haroli. These include water schemes of Pubowal, Baliwal, Haroli and Naganoli. The water scheme in Haroli has been completed and commissioned in a record time of 6 months, while another project worth Rs 10 crore for Haroli-Panjawar is in progress.
He said that an automatic vehicle testing centre will soon be set up in Haroli at a cost of Rs 5 crore, where computerised vehicle testing facility will be available. Apart from this, the construction work of a traffic park at a cost of Rs 8 crore and a rest house at a cost of Rs 7 crore is also going on at a fast pace. He said that a bus depot will also be opened in Haroli soon.
New dimensions in the field of education and health
Mr Agnihotri said that education and health facilities are also improving continuously in Haroli area. The Deputy Chief Minister said that 11 new doctors will be appointed for specialist services in the 100-bed hospital in Haroli. X-ray and ultrasound machines have also been provided. The building of Dr Simmi Agnihotri Government PG College in Haroli is also almost ready and classes for MA and professional courses will also start from the next academic session.
Apart from this, the Deputy Chief Minister said that a police check post will be opened near the Sombhadra bridge in Rampur, which will strengthen the security system. Along with this, a big national flag will be installed near the bridge to attract tourists. Apart from this, licenses will be issued to some establishments to provide food facilities like chaat-pakodi around the bridge. This will boost local businesses and attractive facilities will be developed for tourists.
Emphasis on discrimination-free development work
The Deputy Chief Minister, while attacking the BJP, said that the opposition views development work through the lens of party politics, while the Congress works for the welfare of every region and every person. He said that we work above party politics, the proof of which is our increasing number of votes in every election.
Pankaj Sharma, Chief Engineer of Hamirpur Zone of Electricity Board, made everyone aware of the functioning of the Electricity Board and its benefits. Block Congress President Vinod Kumar Bittu welcomed the Deputy Chief Minister and expressed his views in the program.
