
People walking on broken roads do not listen to road safety awareness
Nawanshahr - A special meeting of "Road Safety Awareness Society" was held under the chairmanship of Gurinder Singh Toor. The proceedings of the meeting were conducted by JS Gidda. Vice President Harprabhamhal Singh, Dilbagh Singh Rita: District Education Officer, Dr. Ajay Baga, Mahinder Singh Doaba Marble, Master Harinder Singh, Manmeet Singh Manager and Praveen Kumar Traffic Police were present in the meeting.

About 15 methods were discussed about road safety awareness, through which the members shared the impressions of the common people and said that people who are suffering from broken roads say that first make the government aware about broken roads due to which many accidents occur. The meeting passed a resolution and demanded from the government that many roads like the railway road Nawanshahr where hundreds of people travel by vehicles and walk on foot every day. Roads in commercial areas like bus stands are also neglected in terms of maintenance. Governments can also express their performance through good roads.
The administration was urged that the future of road safety is in the hands of today's youth. Therefore, awareness fairs should be organized at the sub-division level of educational institutions for road safety In which arrangements should be made to share information through various methods for road safety Those who perform well in these sub-division fairs can be made a part of the district level fair. For basic training, student tours can be conducted at the Road Safety Park at Tour Colony in Nawashahr.
It was decided that after the panchayat elections, a meeting will be held with the Deputy Commissioner to find out the possibilities of conducting a district level traffic safety awareness fair.
