Campaign against adulteration by the team of Health Department Patiala

Patiala, September 30 - To provide clean food to the people, prevent adulteration in food and keeping in mind the festivals, checking has been intensified. As per the instructions of Civil Surgeon Dr. Jatinder Kansal, a team of Food Safety Officers Tarun Bansal, Jaswinder Singh and Ishan Bansal, led by District Health Officer Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, inspected various places on the basis of complaints.

Patiala, September 30 - To provide clean food to the people, prevent adulteration in food and keeping in mind the festivals, checking has been intensified. As per the instructions of Civil Surgeon Dr. Jatinder Kansal, a team of Food Safety Officers Tarun Bansal, Jaswinder Singh and Ishan Bansal, led by District Health Officer Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, inspected various places on the basis of complaints.
In which 30 samples of frying oil were taken from Ghanaur, Rajpura, Patiala 1 and Patiala 2 and Tripadi, Urban Estate, Lahori Gate to check the quality of oil. Samples of ice cream, cream and bread were taken in twin ovens. The samples were sent to the laboratory for testing. Various small shopkeepers including pavement shopkeepers were also inspected. Dr. Gurpreet Kaur said that as per the orders of the Punjab Government, personal hygiene, cleanliness of workplaces in the institution and standard and quality of food items should be maintained during the manufacture and sale of food items.
