New Delhi, September 3 - The Ministry of Defense has approved proposals to upgrade the Army's tank fleet and air defense fire control radars, among other proposals, including procurement of Future Ready Combat Vehicles (FRCVs).

New Delhi, September 3 - The Ministry of Defense has approved proposals to upgrade the Army's tank fleet and air defense fire control radars, among other proposals, including procurement of Future Ready Combat Vehicles (FRCVs). The Ministry said in a statement that the Defense Acquisition Council (DAC) under the leadership of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has given the go-ahead for 10 projects worth Rs 1,44,716 crore (AON) as per requirement approval. According to the statement, apart from procurement of Dornier-228 aircraft, next-generation patrol boat with high operational characteristics and air defense fire control system, the proposal of Forward Report Team (TRACT) has also been approved.
