Hoshiarpur - Under the guidance and leadership of Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, the project 'Sanjhi Rasoi' of District Red Cross Society, Mohalla Ish Nagar, Hoshiarpur is running very successfully, benefiting 450 to 500 poor and needy people daily. Giving information in this regard, Secretary District Red Cross Society Mangesh Sood said that for the success of this project, Neeru Maheshwari, resident of Una Road, Hoshiarpur along with her family members Piyush, Payal, Rishabh, Ridhan and Saksham donated an amount of Rs 5100 to Sanjhi Rasoi in the memory of her husband late Shri Ravinder Kumar Maheshwari. Members of Red Cross Society Rakesh Kapila, Kumkum Sood, Karamjit Kaur Ahluwalia and Sarabjeet were also present on the occasion. On this occasion, Secretary District Red Cross Society also informed that this project being run by District Red Cross is being run with the funds provided by the donors/social workers of the district. Under the Book-a-Day Scheme, not only continuous financial support but also ration material is being provided for celebrating the birthdays, marriage/marriage anniversary and memorial days of the family members in the community kitchen.
