Hoshiarpur- A seminar was organized in Government Senior Secondary School, Ajjowal under the chairmanship of Principal Ashok Kumar to make students aware about the harm caused by burning straw.
On this occasion, Eco Club Incharge Madam Sangeeta Saini said that burning straw has a negative impact on the health of fields, humans, animals and birds. Burning straw destroys good elements related to agriculture. She said that this damages natural resources.
Apart from this, the heat generated by the fire also harms the micro-organisms living under the ground. If we take care of straw and mix it with the soil, it will have a positive impact on the health of the soil. This will increase production and the physical health of the land will also be good. She said that it is often seen that people burn the remaining part after harvesting paddy. Many times this leads to a big accident.
Which we regret later. Therefore, it is important that we avoid burning straw. He said that the children of the village are directly connected to agriculture, so their responsibility increases even more. Addressing the seminar, Principal Ashok Kumar said that it is very important for all of us to know the ill effects of burning stubble.
