District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa said that General Observer Dr. Hira Lal, who served as the District Magistrate in Banda (Uttar Pradesh) district in 2019, became famous at the national level by increasing the voter turnout by 10.5 percent in the Lok Sabha elections. This time also he has tied everyone with him by vowing to conduct green elections. The campaign started by them is being carried out by the district residents diligently and they are playing an important role to make the environment green. He said that the Lok Sabha elections 2024 are being celebrated as eco-friendly in which every voter will plant one plant on the day of voting and minimize the use of plastic so that we can protect the environment for the future generations. On this occasion, a message was given not to burn the grain of wheat, to plant maximum number of plants, to take care of plants and to use minimum amount of water. He said that our constitution has given every citizen of the country above the age of 18 the right to vote, a power by using which we can contribute to the prosperity of our country. Therefore, we should never be careless in using our constitutional right and must use our vote. On this occasion, the voters were made aware to vote by presenting a wonderful cultural program by the school children.
