SAS Nagar, May 17 - Professor Prem Singh Chandumajra, Shiromani Akali Dal candidate from Lok Sabha constituency Sri Anandpur Sahib, has said that Shiromani Akali Dal has played an important role in taking Mohali to the heights of development. Addressing election meetings in village Madanpur and Phase 7, Professor Chandumajra said that the expansion of basic health facilities and education in the city is the contribution of the Akali Dal. He said that after winning the elections he will bring Sainik School for Sri Anandpur Sahib assembly constituency. He said that taking the constituency forward in education and health services is my 'dream project'.
Prof. Chandumajra said that the AAP government, which talks about education and health, has derailed both the institutions of the state. There is a huge shortage of teachers in many government schools of Punjab, but the state government is not recruiting teachers. He said that the working style of the state government is such that the government has put its photo on the health centers to conduct its research, due to which the Center has also withheld about Rs 10 crore.
In phase 7, a large number of families left Congress and joined Shiromani Akali Dal under the leadership of Shiromani Akali Dal vice-president Paramjit Singh Kahlon and Sarabjit Paras. On this occasion, Akali Dal included Narinder Singh Lamba, Lakshmi, Sher Singh, Bobby, Darshan Singh, Ajit Singh, Suraj Sharma, Gurjit Singh, Sarabjit Singh, Bawa Ji, Baljit Kaur, Krishnapal, Karam Singh, Jasveer Singh and Professor Prem Singh. Chandumajra and in-charge Parvinder Singh Sohana joined Akali Dal. On this occasion, SGPC member Bibi Paramjit Kaur Landran, party vice president Harmanpreet Singh Prince, Simranjit Singh Chandumajra, city president Kamaljit Ruby, former sarpanch Kulwant Singh, Parminder Maloa, Manna Sandhu, Advocate Nitin and Akali Dal workers were present.
