Youth were made aware of simple legal points of starting new ventures

SAS Nagar, November 27:- Gyan Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology organized a special expert session to make students aware of the legal requirements of the entrepreneurial journey. A spokesperson of the institute said that it was organized in collaboration with the institute's Innovation Council and Entrepreneurship Development Club.
On this occasion, the participants were informed about the legal framework and compliance details required to start and run a venture. During this, the students were informed about the choice of business structure such as proprietorship, partnership, or private limited company, the legal and tax implications of each structure. In addition, the latest information was shared about registration and licensing processes.
The students were informed about taxation and financial compliance (including GST, income tax and other financial reporting requirements). Sharing information on labor and employment law, information was also given on legal requirements related to employee recruitment, contracts, and workplace rules. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Anit Bedi, Director, Gyan Jyoti, said that a strong legal foundation is the backbone of every successful startup. Often, entrepreneurs ignore the legal aspects, which leads to big challenges later.
