Karnal, June 9: A yoga session will be held on June 10 from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM at the Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College campus to mark the 12th International Yoga Day-2026. The event is being organized under the joint aegis of the AYUSH Department (Haryana), the Haryana Yoga Commission, and Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College.
Haryana's Revenue and Disaster Management Minister, Vipul Goel, will attend the event as the chief guest. To review the preparations, SDM Devendra Sharma inspected the venue on Tuesday. He examined the seating arrangements, cleanliness, drinking water facilities, sound system, and security measures, issuing necessary instructions to the concerned officials.
The SDM stated that International Yoga Day is a significant and prestigious event. Instructions have been issued to ensure that all arrangements are completed well in time so that citizens, yoga practitioners, and guests attending the event do not face any inconvenience. District Ayurveda Officer Dr. Satpal, Deputy CEO Rozi, and senior officials and staff of the medical college were present during the inspection.
