Patiala 1st December:- AIDS Awareness and Nutrition Camp dedicated to World AIDS Day was organized at ART Center of Rajindra Hospital, Patiala. The main mandate of this camp was to ensure maximum participation of people towards HIV AIDS awareness. This camp was organized under the guidance of Civil Surgeon Patiala Dr. Jaswinder Singh and under the leadership of District TB/AIDS Control Officer Dr. Gurpreet Singh Nagra and Disha Cluster Patiala, Punjab State AIDS Control Society.
During this camp, Dr. Gurpreet Singh Nagra gave detailed health information to the patients about the prevention and measures for the spread of HIV/AIDS and nutrition kits were distributed to PLHIV (People Living with AIDS). During this camp, community participation was kept as the main focus dedicated to World AIDS Day. During the camp, a street play on HIV was presented by the students of Nursing College Rajindra Hospital.
On this occasion, the staff of ART Center of Patiala district and TI/NGOs participated. On this occasion, Dr. Sachin Kaushal (Nodal Officer, ART Center Patiala), Dr. Krishan Singh (Medical Officer ART Center Patiala) and Dr. Sampuran Singh (Medical Officer ART Center Patiala), Yadvinder Singh Virk, Nitin Chandla and Jaspreet Singh from Disha Culture Patiala were also present.
