Ghaziabad/UP:- A program was organized at HLM Group of Institutions, located on Delhi–Meerut Road, on March 7 to mark International Women’s Day. Women from the fields of administration, education, and social service participated in the event and conveyed messages of women’s empowerment and self-reliance to the students.
The program began with the welcoming of guests, lighting of the ceremonial lamp, and Saraswati Vandana. The Director of the institution, Dr. Anuj Agarwal, welcomed the guests and said that women play a crucial role in the development of society and that education can further empower them.
Dr. Padmini Singh, Director of Prosecution in the CBI and Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Law and Justice, attended the event as the Chief Guest. In her address, she said that women today are proving their excellence in every field. Encouraging female students to pursue careers in law, administration, and technology, she emphasized that with confidence and hard work, women can achieve any goal.
She also stressed that women should remain aware of their rights and actively contribute to bringing positive change in society.
On the occasion, Vijay Lakshmi Gupta, Deputy Jailer of Ghaziabad District Jail, also shared her views. The program featured poetry recitations, a student play, and cultural performances.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Dheeraj Sharma, followed by the national anthem and a group photograph.
