Weekly Satsang Program Organized
Hoshiarpur:- Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan organized a weekly Satsang program at the local ashram, in which Sadhvi Rane Bharti Ji, a disciple of Sarva Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, delivered a lecture. Sadhvi Ji explained in her thoughts that the Guru is like a gardener and the disciple is like a tree. Just as the gardener first identifies a good seed and then sows it in the right soil at the right time, similarly the Guru also selects the right disciple and establishes him on the right path.
The gardener gives fertilizer and water to the seed from time to time, similarly the Guru also provides knowledge and sanskar to the disciple as per the need. The seed gradually becomes a plant and even in this situation the gardener takes constant care of it, sometimes protecting it from the weather, sometimes from wild animals and sometimes from diseases. When the same sapling grows up and becomes a strong tree, the gardener stops watering it regularly because by then the tree has spread its roots so deep that it learns to protect and nourish itself.
Now it becomes capable of giving, it provides shade to travelers, shelter to birds, fruits and flowers and is also useful as medicine through its roots and sap. By spreading greenery, it purifies the environment and by becoming a medium of rain, it quenches the thirst of the earth and the creatures living on it. Similarly, the Guru also waters the disciple only to a certain time, a certain condition and a certain limit.
The Guru gives only as much as the disciple needs. The Guru not only gives the disciple roots, but also provides expansion and stability to those roots so that the disciple can become self-reliant. Then the Guru teaches the disciple to bend, divide and give like a tree. Flowers belong to the tree but their fragrance belongs to the gardener, leaves belong to the tree but their beauty belongs to the gardener, shape and shade belong to the tree but its complete care belongs to the gardener.
The Guru's heart is as vast as the earth, sometimes hard and sometimes extremely sensitive. The Guru is the source of energy who knows how to transfer his knowledge and experience to the disciple. The Guru is the human form of that supreme power and is like a bridge between the soul and God. All our religious scriptures tell us that without a perfect Guru, the real development of human life is not possible and only through the medium of the Guru is the true welfare of human life possible.
