Vishwa Punjabi Sabha Canada organized an international Kavi Darbar
Ratia, February 11: A large number of scholars and poets from across the country and the world showcased their writing skills at the online Kavi Darbar organized by Vishwa Punjabi Sabha Canada. Dr. Naib Singh Mander, President of the Sabha from Haryana, explained that Vishwa Punjabi Sabha Canada organizes online poetry competitions for children on the first Sunday of every month, chaired by Sabha Chairman Dr. Dalbir Singh Kathuria and led by poet Dalbir Singh Riyad. Children from across the country and the world showcase their original poems, while the organization's Chairman, Dr. Dalbir Singh Kathuria, honors them with generous cash prizes and certificates.
Scholars from Canada, the United States, Australia, India, and Pakistan presented their works at the international online poetry competition. All the scholars congratulated Vishwa Punjabi Sabha Canada Chairman Dr. Dalbir Singh Kathuria on the completion of the third Punjabi Bhawan in Sri Amritsar Sahib and praised his dedication to the mother tongue, Punjabi.
In his speech, the Sabha's Chairman, Dr. Dalveer Singh Kathuria, stated that the mother tongue, Punjabi, owes us a great debt. It is our duty to do everything we can for it. He also clarified that wherever Punjabis live, they are engaged in social service activities according to their means. He stated that, in keeping with their dharma, they have initiated a series of eye camps, medical check-ups, and skin camps.
Following this tradition, eminent scholars associated with the Sabha play their part in promoting the mother tongue, Punjabi, by organizing such events. He feels happy to participate in these competitions and contribute a tithe. He credits his family and parents as the inspiration for this service. Chairman Dr. Kathuria said that he plans to soon establish Punjabi Bhavans in Chandigarh and other locations. He also added that the online poetry competitions for children, led by Dr. Dalveer Singh Riad, also bring him joy.
Under the guidance of Majha Zone President Satbir Singh and others, the dream of building a Punjabi Bhawan in Sri Amritsar Sahib has come true. The entire team deserves congratulations for this.
