Verka Products Steal the Spotlight at Investment Summit

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, March 14: During the investment summit organized by the Punjab government at Plaksha University, the stall set up by Verka to showcase its products emerged as a major center of attraction.
Representatives from various countries and different states across India visiting the stall expressed keen interest in exporting Verka's products. The delegates also showed interest in acquiring technology from Verka related to Tetra Pak packaging, milk handling, and processing. In particular, representatives from England and Singapore demonstrated a strong interest in exporting Verka products to their respective regions.
The delegates sought information regarding Verka's diverse product range, which includes Desi Ghee, butter, Panjiri, Gajjak, milk, Lassi, Kheer, curd, yogurt, cream, protein yogurt, Kaju Pinni, Rabri, and more.
Providing details about Verka's products, Simarpreet Singh Gill stated that Verka has completely surpassed Amul in the Tricity region, becoming the country's first cooperative society to achieve such a feat. He noted that Verka currently holds approximately 75 percent of the market share for fresh milk. He further explained that, to ensure milk quality and prevent adulteration, Verka conducts rigorous testing in four stages using machinery based on the world's latest technology.
He mentioned that the initial inspection of the milk takes place at the collection centers, while the final inspection is conducted at the milk processing plant.
He added that approximately 80 different tests are performed on the milk during this entire process. Furthermore, the capacity of the Mohali-based plant is currently being expanded in collaboration with Japan's JICA. He concluded by stating that Verka's products are currently being exported to the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Australia.
